Referred to as “liquid gold” by the Greek poet Homer, Olive Oil was so respected that the cutting down of Olive trees was punishable by death, according to the 6th and 7th century B.C. Greek Laws of Solon. Simon Sudz uses olive oil as an ingredient in most of our soap bar recipes. Olive oil and Aleppo oil is used 100% in our Castile soap bars. Olive oil is an emollient that can help soften the skin and improve its texture. Olive oil is rich in vitamins and antioxidants, and has been linked to improved skin moisturization, anti-aging effects, and relief from sun damage. Try any of our Castile soap bars - we air cure them on our shelves for a minimum of 12 months before they are sold. The long cure time results in a hard, long lasting and creamy bar.
